Starke Schweizerinnen. Wie die Schweiz dank den Frauen den Zweiten Weltkrieg überlebte
The myth of the heroic Swiss men who stood at the border from 1939 to 1945 and thus saved the country cannot be killed. The five hundred thousand women who ensured the functioning of the country during the war years were simply forgotten. Women worked in offices, hospitals, factories and as farmers in the fields, sustaining and promoting the economy and the survival of the country, but they did not get a myth in return. It is high time to acknowledge the important role of Swiss women in the Second World War.
